Bristol Backyard

The backyard of designer Brooke Merriam serves as her personal refuge, her lab for testing out new plants, and most importantly a space where family and friends gather to relax and engage with nature. Once a barren lawn with a few trees, the space has evolved over 10 years, with beds expanding, plants changing and features being added. It changes dramatically from season to season, is a haven for birds, pollinators, and other beneficial insects, and is truly a four season garden with plenty of color and interest throughout the year.
